'A New Reality' - VR art installation
We are potentially approaching a time where some of the most beautiful elements of our planet will no longer exist in the physical world. When anything disappears or becomes extinct the only way to see what once was will be through photos, video documentations or VR simulations and experiences.
This paper art piece plays with that idea of reality. In a mysterious space surrounded by the ash remains of what is left from the paper artwork, you are invited to enter a virtual reality world. Through this experience we are are able to turn back the time and watch the sculpture come back to life in the room, as the strong geometric sculpture reappear from the flames in a 360 immersive experience. However, when you take the glasses off you will be back in the reality that the sculpture is physically gone for good. The only reality it can stand alive in now is in this virtual plane.
'A New Reality' is a VR art installation currently on display as part of the exhibit CODA Paper Art until October 29th 2017.
